Illume is a premium hard kombucha, differentiating itself with a dark fairytale and storybook-themed design. The packaging is whimsical, illustration heavy, and features nature-inspired imagery with fruits. Illume hard kombucha will evoke feelings of mystery, magic, and elegance. Positioned at a slightly higher price point than commercial hard kombuchas, Illume’s primary goal is to provide an elevated drinking experience, appealing to those who value both high-end aesthetics and unique flavor profiles
Approach
The dark, whimsical imagery—sourced from old art books—forms the heart of the brand’s visual identity, evoking the charm of forgotten fairytales. Each flavor is distinguished by its own rich color palette, ensuring easy recognition while adding depth to the brand’s aesthetic. The three-label sticker system creates a layered, dimensional experience, inviting the eye to wander and uncover new details as the illustration wraps around the bottle. The arched main logo sticker enhances this organic feel, complementing the natural curves of the dark amber glass and reinforcing the brand’s connection to nature and the unknown.
